Long Time, No Post

As Jason Pelt has pointed out by first putting me on probation then by completely removing my name from his blog roll, I haven’t blogged in quite some time. I feel as if I have disgraced the blogging community in which we find ourselves. To those, and Mr. Jason Pelt, I apologize.

But it was for good reason. I have been in Florida visiting my family and friends that I have not seen in several months. It was a very encouraging and relaxing time for me and a time that I felt was necessary. God really used it to teach me and confirm His faithfulness to me.

The more and more time I spend away from my family, the more I grow to appreciate them. It reminds me to thank the Lord for this nourishing institution of family He has created.

So, to stay true to the purpose of this blog, I want to leave you with a thought:

Cherish your family. To those still under your parents’ roof, honor your parents. To those going off to college, honor your parents and keep in touch with them while you’re away. To those already married or on your own, give your parents a call and tell them how much you love them and appreciate them in your lives. To those who don’t have or no longer have immediate family, God is good. He is our Father and we have brothers and sisters in Christ. Family is awesome.

First

Before I could make a blog, I had to question what the purpose of my having a blog would be. If you had a chance to read the poem, it is more or less my purpose statement for this new endeavor of mine. That is, that I might arbitrarily post thoughts, whether lighthearted or spiritual, that come to mind during the day to ultimately be meaningful to others in some sort of way. (Pardon the rhymes.)

Thought for the day: When you’re behind in school, or any task for that matter, blogging doesn’t help.

The Method

What’s the mode:

Prose or poetry?

This blog’s road:

Thoughts arbitrarily

Expressed in method

Disclosed in time

To not be unpurposed

But hopeful sublime.
